General Information

The mission of the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine, Continuing Dental Education, is provide high quality health care education to health care professionals and the community, specializing in oral health. We facilitate vital functions within the School and seek to define the educational needs of oral healthcare professionals to provide updates on new knowledge; new knowledge in specific areas; introduction to and/or opportunities for mastery of new skills and techniques; solutions to problems in dental care; and alterations in delivery of health care to enhance dental care to the public.

UB*CDE is an ADA CERP Recognized Provider. ADA CERP is a service of the American Dental Association to assist dental professionals in identifying quality providers of continuing dental education. ADA CERP does not approve or endorse individual courses or instructors, nor does it imply acceptance of credit hours by boards of dentistry. UB*CDE designates this activity for continuing education credits.

CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDITS
University at Buffalo, Continuing Dental Education, is an ADA CERP Recognized Provider. ADA CERP is a service of the American Dental Association to assist dental professionals in identifying quality providers of continuing dental education. ADA CERP does not approve or endorse individual courses or instructors, nor does it imply acceptance of credit hours by boards of dentistry.

University at Buffalo, Continuing Dental Education, designates activities for a specific number of credit hours - continuing education credits, as noted in each course description. UB Continuing Dental Education certifies courses relating to the scientific or clinical practice of dentistry that are acceptable by the AGD, the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario and DANB.

UB/CDE verifies at least one full-time employee and the facilities, equipment, and financial and physical resources to provide such programs as required by NYS Education Law. Duplicate Attendance Certificates available by written request only. $5.00 handling fee per certificate or course.

COURSE CANCELLATION
UB/CDE reserves the right to cancel any course, limit enrollment, modify the announced course content, or change the location, time, date and faculty of any course as may be deemed necessary or advisable.

Please be aware that UB School of Dental Medicine/CDE is not responsible for reimbursement of non-refundable airline tickets and any other travel expenses in the event that a course is cancelled.

If UB Cancels a Course All tuition is refunded.
If you must cancel your registration Tuition refund, less a $25 cancellation fee, issued for cancellations received in writing at least one week prior to the starting date of the course. No refunds will be issued after that date.(Special cancellation policies exist for all limited enrollment and hands-on participation courses... please call the CDE Office 716.829.2320 for cancellation cut-off dates and fees for specific programs!)

VISITOR PARKING ON CAMPUS Weekdays...park in Michael Lot located off Bailey Avenue near the Dental School. ($4 per day) UB Dental Alumni must show current membership card for free parking in Michael Lot. All other parking areas near the Dental School are restricted. Vehicles parked illegally are subject to ticketing and towing. The University at Buffalo and CDE do not assume any responsibility for fines or towing fees. Free parking in all lots on weekends.
